Parents Warned Against Using DIY Brain Stimulation Devices to Improve Children's School Performance

The evidence underlying the cognitive enhancing effects of tDCS is growing on a daily basis. Some parents have taken these findings as an incentive to use the brain stimulation on their own children in an attempt to boost their marks at school. Experts have voiced their concerns - among them, Prof Colleen Loo believes that the technique, if used in the hands of amateurs or children, may pose a danger.
